Visual Arts help the world

Visual arts is not only a university career since prehistoric times until today the arts have made an impact on the world, it is true that many of the changes were for artistic techniques rather than society as the avant-garde (surrealism, impressionism, etc) that managed to break all the canons of the classical arts, however, they can also communicate the problems that exist in the world through art. Pop Art allowed to account for a time when society was consumed by advertising and the mass sale of objects, people were fascinated by advertisements that promote objects and felt the desperation to have such objects.

If pop art could show the reality of advertisements, as well as many other realities that could come to light thanks to art then I can say that I can do it too.

I am still a student of visual arts I still have a lot to learn, I will tell you a story of my life: For the drawing class I decided to work from the theme of body modifications my goal was to show the harsh reality behind a modification, women with rings on their necks are very famous in the world and every year thousands of tourists are eager to meet them it is said that the rings are used as a canon of beauty and that before it was to defend themselves from the attack of tigers.

Based on what I am narrating I made the drawing that is on the cover of this post the harsh reality is that it is a lie all that women wear rings for beauty, for defense etc., the truth is that they wear rings because tourists are their only way to have money to live because the government saw that the rings on the neck brought many people to the country and with that they had more money and then the government took away the citizenship of these women and forbade them to do any work the only work they are allowed is to exhibit their rings on the neck to tourists, sell their handicrafts and take pictures with them.

Many of those who saw my drawing did not know this reality so I achieved my goal of revealing the truth I feel I can help the world I can show society many of the problems that exist and thus to correct it.

A PHOTOGRAPH AND ITS STORY

Years ago I went on vacation to Iquique and the plane ride had left me very dizzy, when we arrived at the hotel I went to sleep because of the dizziness, however, my family decided to go for a walk on the beach and insisted that I accompany them especially because on that beach there were a lot of colored stones and I love stones, gems and minerals, I have a large collection and one of my hobbies is to go out to different places to collect them or I also like to buy them at fairs.

Since I felt so dizzy I decided to stay in the hotel to make the dizziness go away, but I admit that I felt bad for not going with my family to have fun at the beach, but I also knew that my family did not want my dizziness to get worse.

When my family left for the beach I went to bed and fell asleep for a few hours and when I woke up I felt much better and I was no longer dizzy. It was then that my mom came into my room and gave me some herbal tea and handed me a crumpled napkin when I opened it I realized that inside the napkin there were some different colored stones and a conch shell.

My mother told me that on the beach trip she and my family collected stones for me, I was speechless because of the emotion I felt but my tears of happiness and the huge hug I gave to all my family said it all.
